Crawford Overture "Macbeth"

For Full Orchestra

Description

Crawford wrote this piece because he wanted to write a smaller format of Orchestra music. He wanted to try making a piece with one of the instrumentations of Mozart. Despite the name, this overture has nothing to do with William Shakespeare's “Macbeth” Tragedy. Crawford still has desires to write suites based off of William Shakespeare's famous writings such as “Othello” and “Romeo and Juliet”.

This Overture has great Oboe, Bassoon, French Horn, Violin, and Low String excerpts.
