Crawford Suite "Creation"
For Full Orchestra
Description
This piece was the original Crawford Symphony 3 before realizing he wanted to write a piece for his fellow seniors for graduation. This piece was made in his grandfather's studio. His grandfather was an ex-rockstar who played at gigs and could sing all the way from bass range to mezzo-soprano. He wanted to see Crawford write something which is how he came up with the Suite. When he had a story for the piece, that's when he decided to turn it into a Suite.
In the first movement, a local store finally opened after years of hard work with customers ready to buy everything in stock. In the second movement, an accident occurs, causing the store to collapse and fall apart. In the third movement, a customer who was great at creating and building shows off his works as he shows he's able to rebuild it and make it even better than before. The fourth movement is just a “Comic Relief” you would see in a Shakespeare writing. The fifth movement is the store owner gaining hope that he is able to rebuild the local store.
The finale is the store being rebuilt piece by piece and the store reopens again as customers line up for the grand reopening.
This piece has challengingly fun Flute, Violin, Piccolo, Low Strings, Snare drum, Viola, Clarinet, Contrabassoon, Low Brass, Timpani, Oboe, French horn, Harp, and Trumpet excerpts.
