Crawford Symphony II in F# Minor "The Caroling Hummingbirds"
For Full Orchestra
A symphony symbolizing encouragement, reassurance and inspiration with fantastic excerpts.
Description
Crawford’s Second Symphony is about encouragement and taking on obstacles that aren’t easy to overcome. He unconsciously wrote this piece to build up his confidence whilst trying to be accepted by school while his domestic issues began to increasingly pile up. The third movement, which he considers to be the heart of this work, is all about encouragement which he even presented when he was in a mental Rehabilitation Facility in 2023. His music inspired others in the Facility to keep pushing and helped them get out of the facility.
This piece has amazing low brass, Bass, Violin, Flute, Harp and Horn Excerpts.
Fun Fact, the original manuscript never had a first movement.
